Notion has proven indispensable in many areas of our life with countless templates for any specific use cases. Like many, I had collected quite a number of templates from talented Notion creators. However, in the tracking and recording, I had a vague feeling of being overwhelmed, confused with no tangible results.
Managing Notion was a drain on my time and energy without efficacy, rather than a support system. So, as I took a break from the Notion and returned to pen and paper, gradually clarity and control did return.
l am still very fond of Notion, and thus would explore tabula rasa to make Notion work. Initially, this served as motivation to learn RegEx, but now became an exciting project to share with you!

I wanted to express a short message on why I created this, let’s see if that resonates with you!
We empower individuals to live and work with more intent. We start this journey by acknowledging the finite years in our lives and reverse engineering the life outcome so as to actively curate our story, and developed the simplest possible framework tool to navigating your life on Notion.
This was created on the premise of learning Regular Expressions on Notion and underwent a few design revamp to improve on user experience. It includes many convoluted formulas, relations and rollups, of which are not required to utilise the tool fully.
The golden question at 80 years old: “If you could live your life again, what would you have done differently?”
By Reverse-Engineering Life, answering this question right now, you are in fact living the second life that could have been.
I had benefited from this framework tool as it nudged me from being busy to be living with intent and we hope it can do the same for you!
I am very much excited for you to join us and learn together, and we look forward to hearing from you!
We work remotely, perpetually challenge how we collaborate and we put great care and passion in what we do.
We’re looking for the brightest folks to join us:
You who deeply care about what you do, how you work, thrive for simplicity, love Acme's mission and care about good design.
If that resonates and you think you can bring us as much as we can bring you, we're excited to hear from you
The Problem

Notion has been integral in many areas of my life, from personal to work projects and even collaborating with partners remotely. There are also endless templates to get started on any specific use cases. I myself have built a few personal Notion template and accumulated many more by other talented creators. However, through the process of constant tracking and recording, I recall feeling a vague sense of being overwhelmed, confusion and doubt, and without significant tangible outcome. I took hiatus from the Notion system, and switchback to pen and paper, and the clarity and control gradually return. This made me realise that managing Notion had become a unsustainable time/energy vacuum for me, instead of being a background support system.
With this renewed understanding and still very much a fan of Notion, I decided to have a serious look to an alternative approach tabula rasa to use Notion. This initially germinated only as a motivation to experiment and master RegEx on Notion, which accidentally became a OS framework. This work would not be possible without the Notion Team and Community at large.

What we really want is to clarify our WHY, purpose and expected outcome, instead of simply focusing on the WHAT and HOW to do things or tracking every thought or habit without intent. There is a slight naunce of doing things in motion and taking deliberate actions to perform certain task. What we like is to be constantly reminded of why you started on this journey and evaluate how true your motivations are.
We wanted to contribute to the community an approach of reverse engineering to fulfilling our finite life.
We built a simple-to-use system on a few goals on our mind:
Shortest Path to First Intent.
Both visually and Navigation.
Spend less time on Notion
Reduce visual simulation or overload
→ Dashboards are great for a quick overvall glance. However, they are hardly functional and actually distract/delay you from your work.
What we really want is to clarify our WHY, our goal and the expected result, instead of just focusing solely on the WHAT and HOW to do things or pursue any thoughts or habits without intention. There is a big difference between doing things in motion and taking deliberate action to accomplish your tasks. We want you to keep reminding yourself why you set out on this journey and to check that your motivation is genuine.
We wanted to offer the community a reverse engineering approach to fulfilling our finite lives and developed an easy-to-use system that focuses on a few goals:
I wanted to say a few words on our mission, let's see if that resonates with you!
We help teams work more thoughtfully. We started by fixing the way they shared knowledge, and built the simplest possible tool making all knowledge accessible, by default, in teams.
We started at Hack Week at Square in 2013 and since then released hundreds of iterations, have been backed by outstanding partners like YCombinator, Index or Spark, and most importantly improved the way thousands of teams work everyday.
We work remotely, perpetually challenge how we collaborate and we put great care and passion in what we do.
We’re looking for the brightest folks to join us:
You who deeply care about what you do, how you work, thrive for simplicity, love Acme's mission and care about good design.
If that resonates and you think you can bring us as much as we can bring you, we're excited to hear from you!

Let me briefly share why we created this, and we will see if it resonates with you!
We empower people to live and work with intention by acknowledging the finite years in our lives and reshaping the outcome of our lives. We have developed the simplest framework tool to take control of your life and actively shape your story.
The golden question at age 80: "If you could live your life over again, what would you do differently?"
If we can answer that question and make conscious choices and actions, you are indeed living the second life that could have been.
I look forward to learning with you and seeing you in the community!
